Ang Xinwei is a design-educator who began his academic and professional careers in parallel in 2006. A specialist in spatial design, his body of work seamlessly blends interior and architectural considerations.
At LASALLE, he has implemented significant transformations in the interior design curriculum, known for its strong contemporary work embedded in unique Southeast Asian contexts, and has led successful international validations by The Open University, Goldsmiths College in London and more recently a process with the Ministry of Education in Singapore for LASALLE to be an Autonomous University with Degree Awarding powers.
His professional practice is embodied in ATELIER 01, a design agency actively engaged in projects across Asia. The consultancy has since completed a range of architectural and interior projects (specifically in Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia), the typology of projects range from residential apartments and private homes to commercial developments with offices, F&B and hospitality. Key projects are holistic interior and architectural proposals where the team sees the project from the design proposal stage through to the thoughtful realisation of each project.
